Misc. Ramblings ---My morning Drive.

Here I am at work. Let me rephrase that. "Here I am at the computer terminal that has been assigned to me by my employer. I find that 'work' is such a harsh word and something that is becoming more and more difficult for me to do.

Anyway, I drove up here in the '92 this morning. I left the house at 5:25 AM and arrived at 6:00 AM. The trip was fun. it was one of those drizzly, foggy mornings. The roads were still wet from the downpours that we had last night. Now for the fun part.
I encountered a blue WRX heading my way. We diced awhile then I let him go since my tires are almost all worn down and we hit traffic. I can just imagine him in the darkness working the shifter and congratulating himself for every small victory over me. Meanwhile, I'm cruising comfortably at speed (85+ mph) listening to Count Basie & Duke Elligton (Ron, did I mention the Box-O Jazz collection?); enjoying the SVX's comfort and the music.
I did mention my aversion to work didn't I? This run will never be as much fun as I used to have through my favorite S-bend on my way to DuPont; but after a year and a half, I'm beginning to learn this route and find that it does have its moments.

Life here is so very short so we should make every minute count.
So, go out and have a good time and no mater what you're doing, enjoy yourself.

Now that I have waxed philosophical; I'd better go wax the car.

You hit a raw nerve there, work seems too become more and more of a drag. The God's should have put more days in a weekend. Nice to grab little pleasures along the way

Had some drizzley rain this morning (Friday Oz time) unfortunately had to take the company car, which hates my favourite little stretch of S bends, VW's have been known to go past me in this car on this stretch of road.

My better half has found a new punishment for me, no longer am I sent to the dog house, which incidently I was starting to enjoy.. she now hides the SVX keys, now be a good boy Kenn and I'll let you have a drive at the weekend.

Enjoy the ride home

Thumbs up

Well, I rolled out of bed last night and decided not to w*rk. Called in sick and now I have a long weekend. Fridays are good for doing something other than labor.

In some ways I miss commuting to work. Overall it sucked but every once in a while a drive would turn into magic and make it all worth while. I'm glad to see that you still find magic hiding in your path, Larry!

I have a 45min ride to work and it's all on awsome roads. The only down side of awsome roads is the lack of passing zones thoe.
