Argh! Too much stuff I want for the SVX, yet, no money!

So, she liked her gift?
Id expect better results everywhere in braking.
Shorter distances from 60-0 and less fade all around.
I may try to do some primitive tests in this industrial park
outside town and take a friend to help out.
But only if I have time. I have no doubts this kit will work
20-30% better then OE assuming you have good tires
to keep you in contact with the ground.

Stopping like a Z06 or 911 Porsche, etc., would be pretty sweet!

You're a workaholic aren't you, Dayle?

Finally got a set on

Finally got a set on
theyve been sitting in my shop for 6 months...
6 piston Willwood calipers
huge rotors
Stops amazing
some moaning of the new pads breaking in but nothing
I cant live with.
For sure need 18" wheels, and with spokes that dont
set in too far. I found a few 18"s that wouldnt fit,
and a few sets that would of course, and those were

Sweet! Nice job, Dayle. Now, given that you've got an almost "Earl-like" collection of SVXes, can you do some 60-to-0 and 100-to-0 stoping distance comparisons (stock configuration vs "big brake" configuration). What pads are you using with the bigger rotors?
-Bill
p.s. it was $500 for the big brake kit, right? (j/k!!)

Yes they are 2 pcs
On these rims I actually had to use a 3mm spacer....
works fine but I have about 2.5mm between the spokes
and the cailper.

What I may be able to do to see if the fit with your current
wheels, is I can borrow one from a local whse and test fit
it on my car to be sure or not.

Dayle,
Could you just put a straight edge on the hub and take some measurements over to the rotor/caliper? A digital picture of the straight edge on the hub and a tape measure over to the rotor and caliper would be great (especially if we can read the numbering on the tape measure )

Id rather try a wheel on, its not that hard for me to get
and do. Even mine I thought would fit with just measuring
but turned out I needed 3mm.
