Thumbs down It's a Who-Done-It...

So, I had to go out and run some errands this afternoon. I walked outside of my boyfriend's house to my car and saw what I thought were white flower petals. As I walked around the front of the car and to the driver's side, I noticed that flower petals would have been much nicer...My car was EGGED.

They must have used at least a dozen eggs, making sure they got every inch covered. This is such a nice neighborhood, too, so this isn't something that is seen around here. Now my head is like, "Which one of his crazy ex's did this?" or "Who could have done this when I am nice to every person I meet???". UGH! To top it off, right around the corner is a nice, silver, Subaru WRX...Why didn't they go mess with that???

Anyways, I called my boyfriend at work and he is angry, but I know we'll never find out who did it. I washed my car and I spent a half hour just running the hose on it. I had to use a dull knife to scrape off eggs in some areas, too (like the area between the hood and the windshield). I scrubbed as hard as I could, but I still didn't get it all off.

Just thought I'd vent. I took pictures so maybe I'll post a few.

That really stinks. Stupid kids. Don't assume that your car in particular was the target - they were probably out to get any car they could, and yours stood out.

well, after seeing the pictures of your car, I have come to the conclusion that you are not the driver of the pearly svx that I pass on Levick street on a day to day basis...

Try a strong (like 50/50) vinegar/water solution. Let it soak in good, and the sooner you do it the better. Don't forget to apply a nice coat of wax after you get it all cleaned off.

I would be seriously pissed off if someone pulled this crap on me. Sorry it had to happen to you...

Ouch!

Sorry to see what happened to your car. I hope your paint wasn't cracked. My Swift was egged a few years ago, and it left a series of bulleye rings around the impact area. I wondered at the time if they were hard boiled...

Those punks will get caught some day....then the yolk will be on them.

re: college town?

do you live in a college town? if not, i'd say that your boyfriend has some really psycho ex's. if they went to the trouble of nailing your whole car they must not really like you or your boyfriend. if you live by a college town, those little punks have nothing better to do than to get drunk and cause havoc.

2 years back some kid got shot for egging someone's car in south atlanta. after that i have not heard of an egging in atlanta. also store owners of convient stores quit selling eggs to those people who they thought would cause trouble with them.

we have a problem with the emory kids that live around. they love pulling up mailboxes. not just one mailbox. everyone's mailboxes on both sides of the streets. after the 8th time in a 10 month period, i was given an opportunity to catch them. i had a few friends over and were playing cards. i heard the noise and went outside with my sig. i saw them trying to pull my mailbox up so i yelled at them and started chasing them. one of my friends called the cops and told them that there were some kids pulling up mailboxes. he also told them that i was chasing them and that if they don't catch them first, they'd better call in an ambulance. needless to say the cops caught them as i came to the end of the street. fastest response i've seen.

sorry off the topic, just remembered how pissed i was with college kids doing stupid stuff like that. good luck with the egg removal and i hope that your paint was not cracked so the eggs can seep into . pisses me off that they hit your grill too. it must have took a minute for them to think 'let's egg the grill too.' punks!

I'd take the first opportunity to run it through a professional car wash 3~4 times. The car wash might be cool about it and only charge you for one pass.

That ought to get the mess out of the crevices.

NO, dont go through a perf. carwash!! It'll add more swirls to your already swirled paint (judging from the first picture)

What to do:
Get some dawn dishwashing soap (the blue stuff) and use that with warm water, and let it soak on the eggs.
Using the dawn will strip any wax/glazes that you have on the car... but i'd rather re-detail then have to get the whole car repainted!

Need any more help, email me: smatrixt@attbi.com or IM me: smatrixt
