I have only taken one long trip and got 27.5 mpg. Same as you guys. For Reading I only got 24mpg cause I did too much local driving throttle stomping.

Oh, that's for the Justy, by the way. My fuel cost for this week was $9.

I hope you gave the person that gassed up your car a $10 bill and told him to keep the change.

I only got a scant 26.22. Probably need to go ahead and change those O2 sensors and clean my throttle body. Still, not too bad for a car with 140K at an average speed of 80 MPH.

There's no button on the pump's card reader for 'keep the change.'

That sounds about right for city mileage for an SVX. Mine gets below 20 when I drive it in town, but over 30 on freeway road trips.

My mileage is also not brilliant

Assuming we are talking US gallons and not those big buggers over the pond, I'm getting 22MPG or so on extended long drives with NO city driving and taking it easy on the pedal. Torque converter is definitely locking up.
The strange thing is it seems to use the same amount wheather I'm going easy or caning it at some obscene speed to (easily) keep up with the weiner in his FXGT corolla on those big winders.

I too have just cleaned my throttle body which was full of hard deposits and a lot of oil, sucked in from some vacume line somewhere.
My O2 sensors shouldn't be too bad as the car has only done 92K.
I've just taking out the oil soaked foam air filter that was in my car - interesting to see what happens with a dry MAF. Seem to have a bit more torque down low too.

You should be getting better than that. The best I ever got in my Justy was 45MPG (US). It averages 33+
