Door lock remotes???

I got 1 sweet little key with my car and it was a copy at that: it does, however start the car and open the trunk...

My car is a 92 LS-L and this key (which I have copied) does not lock my doors...

Question: Can I buy a remote and open-close my door locks with this?

Did every LS-L come with a remote??? Do any of you good souls have a carfax account and could run a carfax for me???

The LS-L came standard with security (In the US, anyway. I'd expect the same from Canada). You should've gotten a remote. If not, go to www.subaruparts.com and order one for around 60 bucks. Then, follow programming procedures outlined throughout the posts here (just do a search: Remote Programming).

You should be able to take your VIN to a dealer and get an original key cut. That may solve your problem with your copied key not locking the doors.

My car is a good ole US special from Massachusetts, imported to Canada .

No heated seats tho but a great running car which I wish had service records but it does not.... anybody know how to find who might have been previous owners with records...

I am trying to get a carfax for # 1FLCK3534KM106697 to see if I can locate earlier owners [can you do one for me????]

The dealer near me ran my vin and was able to tell me if the tsb's were performed, when some servicing was done, and when and where the car was titled.
