I just noticed....
I've noticed this winter that it seems when the outside temp is cold that when I set the climate control to "Econ" it still blows thru the defrost vents toward the windshield. No matter what I pick it blow thru these.
Later in the day, when it's warmer the "Econ" setting blows thru the vents on the front of the dash. Kinda strange? or is this one well known fact that I didn't know. Or do I just need more coffe in the AM? Randy (Which way does the wind blow?) ii |

I think that depends on the weather.
In the morning it's colder and darker and when cold the defrost will be on by default. Later on it's brighter and warmer so the sensor on the dash will be expecting the sun to be heating up the interior so it compensates. Or else it could be one of the levers that control the vents that is sticking.

Normal
I would say it's normal.
The system uses the outside temp as one input. Outside temp below a certain level will cause the screen to keep fogging. So it compensates by letting air to the screen at all times in these cold conditions. Joe
