Hi folks

Roel have right, the glass headlights get also unclear. So order them only, when you wanna buy so or so new!!

The listed partnumber is the complet headlights. They are available also without electric (only glass and rear housing), but it costs more! Subaru Switzerland told me, that's because they don't use this so price is expenciever (the more parts = cheaper)

Is there any link how to clean the headlights, specially take them out?

I think Seraph your are the master

in this. I tried link on first page from this thread, but it doesn't work. I head to clean only one headlight.

Is there anyway we can order the headlights from the switzerland or german dealer directly? Or would we need to have someone from switzerland/germany order them for us?

If Subaru Switzerland doesn't have here in general stock one part, they order this direct from Subaru Japan. Takes normally 10 till 14 days.

I asked yesterday if it's also possible to order via Subaru Switzerland JDM parts, like the hood emblem etc. They told me, they don't see any problem. This meens, if I wanna buy in the futur a JDM part , I will order this through Subaru Switzerland. I only need the JDM part number.

So, I think the best and easiest way will be, that you order the german/swiss headlights through your local Subaru dealer using the listed part number. Or if somebody in Japan can order them for you and send it to USA.

Subaru Germany wrote me today about price for headlights.

They cost SFr. 150.-- LESSER than in Switzerland:

Euro 591.--, what is nearly the same in US$

Switzerland is expencive

Subaru Germany wrote also, there is not possible to order direct from them. The order must be done through a german dealer.

Does everybody know the price from this lights in Japan?

I have inquired about the system to head office of Subaru. Subaru actually provided the system into a prototype of SVX a long time ago, but the system was not installed onto SVX, I heard. Also, Subaru didn't have something like this that is suitable to SVX.

So I guess we can only get the headlight from Subaru Germany at THEIR cost.

As for the LCD, we know it was made. Just not for the SVX. I am not too happy but I will make the dang thing myself and send them(FHI/SOJ) a video tape of that.

So, the system in the prototype was a "dummy?" If not, ask them for the manufacturer's name who made it for the prototype.
