OT- Football, NFL Style

Hi All,

Besides being a NY Yankee fan, I am also a Giants fan.

Saturday the NY Football Giants tried like heck to loose the game, but once again, the Philadelphia Eagles;
"SNATCHED DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY !!"

PS: I see where Fidel Castro is quickly becoming a Yankee fan too.

Gee, I thought all the Packer fans (Cheeseheads) who are SVXers would have responded by now !!

I've been a Packer fan too long to get too excited until we get by the wildcard game....... but the Packers have (IMHO) a great chance again this year....*gee I've said that before......**

uh....do you see why we want the home field????

Plus some key-player injury's ...... and the fact that.........

I COULDN'T WATCH IT BECAUSE THE LOCAL NETWORK AFFILIATE THOUGHT THAT THE ARIZONA GAME WAS MORE IMPORTANT!!!!!

At least I get to see the rest of their games (even if it's only the next one!)

Larry, the problem was (is) that the Packers are not as good a team as their record suggests. At 12-4 they finished with the best record in the NFL, but I think the only highlight to the season was the win over the 49ers at Candlestick. But so what, San Fran's not all that great.
In beating the Eagles, The Giants gave the Packers all the incentive they needed yesterday - to play for home field advantage all the way to San Diego. And man did they need that. 8-0 at home, 4-4 on the road!
They should squeak past Atlanta on Saturday, but that will be it. They don't have what it takes to go into Philly or Tampa and come away with a win.
Don't get me wrong. I am a huge Packer fan, but I'm a little more realisic than my fellow Cheeseheads.
It has been a miserable day in Packerland today.
Somebody please put us out of our misery. We can't take any more 42-17 whippings.

First Mitch,

I see the Giants getting past the Niners and the Packers beating Atlanta.
Then the Giants travel to Lambeau where I see the Pack winning a close (3-4 point) game.

The Pack then goes to Philly where the Eagles soar.

Then the Eagles will be roasted by the Raiders in Super Hype XXXXXXXXXXXX like they were when Jawarski was their quarterback.

Dem's my predictions.

Tampa Bay...... No Way.

PS: Remember this...I lost my shirt in Super Bowl III. I bet the farm on the Colts and Joe Willy & the Jets killed me.
