differential fluid change
Ok, so i tried the search and didnt find what i was looking for and i am sure i could it but i would like to know from real svx owners. How do you change the differential fluids? What kind do you use? I figured this would be in the how to spot but wasnt. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Oh, by the way, i do know how to do most stuff. I hardly ever take anything to the shop but i have just never done the differential fluids before.

Re: differential fluid change
I always use Mobil1 75/90 gear oil.
You will need three quarts. The rear plugs have a 1/2" square socket cast into them. Only use a breaker bar, NO IMPACTS! On the rear end you remove both the upper and lower fill/drain plugs. After giving it time to drain, you clean off the magnet on the drain and reinstall it. Fill it with about .8 quarts, untill the oil/lube is spilling out the top hole. For the front differential, you open the drain, reinstall the plug and refill with less than two quarts through the dipstich tube on the passenger side by the firewall.
