Kevin,

What I like most about the above graph for horsepower, is that the increased intake flow is really allowing the engine to come alive higher up in the power band where it previously fell flat.

What's very interesting though, is that w/o the ToMyx intake on, peak power is made around 5,400rpms which is similar to where an SVX on stock cams would reach its peak. With the addition of the ToMyx intake, peak power is made in the 5,800-6,000rpm range. Your gains are astounding, but an SVX on stock cams would probably not see as big of a peak gain as you did, but similar to what you saw, the area under the graph for both tq and hp will increase everywhere throughout the rev band.

I'm glad to see that you had the insight, resourcefulness and persistence to design and get this intake done! In good conditions, this car should run the 1/4 mile solidly in the 14's!

Wow. This has to be the most impressive HP gain I've ever seen for an SVX outside of nitrous or forced induction. Very nice.

BTW, did you guys monitor afr before/after? Would be interesting to see because the large change in intake geometry can affect air flow pattern through the MAF which can lean/richen the afr.

Wait a sec... So the test car was not on stock cams??

So it's not exactly an accurate test then is it? I mean, all things considered here, probably less than 5% of the owners on here have the cams, so the results wouldn't really be the same.

this may be true. I would expect that the similar gains would be seen through a stock motor as well all things considered

I'll be glad to test one of these for youguys at our dyno day in 2 weeks... We are getting 3 pulls on a Dynojet with a wideband O2 sensor attached... My engine it's self is "stock" with the only changes being a full Stebro exhaust with two "spun" metallic substrate primary cats. And ofcourse I have a 5MT not an Auto... But other than those small differences, It should provide a more accurate test...

That also creates a problem if you are looking for accuracy. I will be doing a lot more dyno work soon enough as there is a dyno relatively close to me that just opened. This is one thing I will try on a completely stock car exhaust and all to get the perfect numbers. I do appreciate the offer but I doubt I will have the next batch done in time

I don't have stock cams or exhaust either. So, I'm not a good candidate for a stock engine comparison. Do intend to take it to the dyno this year.

With All We'll Drive's closing, it's gone as well. JohnyBeas was supposed to grab that torch, but most folks are calling it a fumble.
