VSS question (5mt swap)

I recently swapped a 5sp into my '92 SVX. The tranny came from a '96 Legacy with a 2 wire vss. Is this sensor at all compatible with my 3 wire system? Or is there a 3 wire available that will screw into my trans?

Thanx

Re: VSS question (5mt swap)

Use the one from your SVX transmission.

Re: VSS question (5mt swap)

This was already suggested however they are completely different. The SVX is a push in style with a bolt on the edge and the Legacy is threaded into the transmission housing

Re: VSS question (5mt swap)

The SVX speed sensor is one that screws in, toward the front right of the transmission, close to the front diff dipstick.
