Fishing is fantastic! Catching leaves something to be desired!
The time spent on the water is always great! OT doesn't take fishing poles when he 'floats', I do. He takes beer, I take root beer. (root beer floats)Thanks, John Hoffman. I stole your 'quote'!
He floats the same water, we both have fun...

I spent the day at the farm cleaning, mowing, dragging junk and eating BBQ with my daughter, her husband and 3 kids. My son and grandson came down with me and the rest of the clan showed up later.
The guy that she knew that needed a place to 'thrive' stopped by. He accepted the keys to the gate and office and said that he will be there on sunday to clean up the shop and paint the walls.
He is going to get his DOT physical and the tow truck will be going back on the road! I set a battery in it, dumped a little gas in the 460 and it started right up!
I drove it over to his shop and parked it, so he can get right on it, and get it whipped back into shape.
Son in law brought the powdercoating stuff down and cleaned up the area that it will be set up next week.
The 'TENSION' that has been present for so long is GONE!!
ALL new blood! New hopes and dreams.

My rust bucket rollback,(yard truck) saw about 6 hours of action today!

I am going to put an electric fence around the storage lot to keep crim'nals at bay! It will be set up so you have to go into the shop and turn off the breaker to kill it.

I am tired, but very happy!
Good nite.

Congrats Jerry, finally some peace of mind.

I got a letter, (found it on the bench in the shop that has produced $1500.
rent over the last 5 YEARS!)
As I was 'surveying' the recently vacated shop, I noticed that the freezer
contained a package of rotted meat, 2 empty Lord Calvert bottles and a 'poured
shot' of whiskey.
There was mention of the 'MOLD and stuff presant on the walls in the basement
of the house, but no mention of the thousands of dollars worth of stuff that I
had bought that were never USED!
I have thrown $450. worth of PLYWOOD on the burn pile, because it was left to
ROT on the truck.
The 'sump pump' that was still in the BOX 2 years after I brought it was GONE!
The $1,400 Propane , forced air, furnace was GONE!
A guy decides to live in a house for over 13 years and still has the drywall
mud in his LIVINGROOM, when gallons of paint have rusted through the can and
been thrown away...... This is not my 'bad'!
The 'love letter' mentioned that I should have been paying HIM to live there.
I WAS! It cost me $25. per DAY for him to throw the doors up! (on the shop).
The house was FREE! He was SUPPOSED to USE the stuff that I brought down to make
the house BETTER!
The argon filled, thermo-pane windows sat for over a YEAR before he 'bothered'
to install them!
I put tags and insurance on his truck for over 2 years and never recieved a
DIME from him! (in my name) When I pulled the tags, he said that he didn't need
my tags. Then he started trying to 'prove' that it was his truck. (The day I
pulled the tags, I signed the title and gave it to him!)

I am 'at risk' for $155,000.! He mentioned that he put $100,000 in my
pocket....NO!! He FAILED to produce enough revenue to cover 5% of what it cost
to run this place. I have been making the payments by sleeping 4 hours per night
and working 16 hour days while he had WHISKEY for breakfast!
I didn't drink whiskey for breakfast because I had a JOB to do, and was subject
to random testing for the last 22 years.

IF I allow the farm to go to forclosier, I am 'responsible' for the differance
between what is owed and what it brought at the sale.
With todays numbers, I would have to PAY for 15 years on a property that I no
longer had access to. (or I could take bankruptcy)

Thanks to 'Whiskey Dan', I could be RUINED!!

He is working at a place that belongs to his EX girlfriend, living with his
son. He is working outside, in a driveway. He is getting 'rained on', even
though he hauled $3,000 worth on MY metal roofing and $700 worth of MY lumber to
the site. He even stole the PAINT for the house! (since it matched the metal he
stole)
I have heard that he has a 'really great propane furnace for sale. ( I gave him
the money to buy it, and the reciept is in his name.
I gave him $1,500. to buy it and he is 'offering' it for $700.

I don't owe this person SQUAT!! He is not a 'business' kinda guy! He is
another 'victim'! He should apply for food stamps since he can't earn a LIVING.
(because he has the wrong 'attitude')!

If you need some 'dope', I hear that you can get whatever you need at his new
address! Coke, smoke, whatever! (as long as it doesn't invole WORK)

CONTINUING!! I ran into a couple with a small son that lives in a second floor apartment where they have to shove quarters into a meter all day. He came down to look at my 'wretched' house in the country. While he was there, 3 other small kids jumped out of cars and ran straight to the creek! These are the kids of the 'new' guy and his friends. Tom mentioned that his son doesn't have anyone to PLAY with in the apartment. I then walked them back to the pond on state land that is about 100 yards behind the shop. The weeds are high and the area needs cleaned up, but I saw the same 'gleam' in the eyes that I had when I 'discovered' this treasure!
The big BASS shot out of the weeds, making a series of >>>>>>>>'s across the top of the water.

Well, Tom was a contractor before he was a Marine.
He is willing to finish the drywall and paint the house if he doesn't have to renew his lease next week on the place he HATES!!
His dogs will have an acre yard to play in and his son will have 6 kids about his sons age to play with and be 100 YARDS from a road! However, they will be 150FEET from 5,000 ACRES of STATE land! (and 200 yards from the pond)
There is NO place like this ANYWHERE in this county! Except right here, and MY name is on the deed!

ANSWERED PRAYERS!!.

Tom didn't answer my calls the other day so I gave the house to the other couple. Wife and I stopped by the shop/farm to introduce the wife to the new tennants. They were busy painting the interior of the house and cleaning everything! Wife said that the 'air' was a lot fresher now! (meaning that the TENSION was gone) There were 3 adults and 2 kids painting the inside of the house!
Yea!! THIS guy has 'FRIENDS' that HELP him!
On the 'plus' side, the couple that ended up with the house are the same people that took the bigger shop! (Which has also been painted inside)
That way, all he has to do to 'go to work' is walk 200 feet.
He brought his 4 cyl dirt car down and I got a look at it.
It's really well done! 99 Cav 2 door in black. He also has a 'Hobby Stock' V-8 car that he just bought.

I had pulled my lift out to keep it from being stolen while the place was vacant. 2 days ago, my 'car dealer' friend said that he would trade his 'spare' lift for work. The lift will be earned by and belong to the new guy.
I will sell mine to my brother, where I can use it too.
