Re: News and Rumors: New SVX after all?

Subaru has specifically said that their version of the 86 will NOT be awd. RWD only. The motor sits far too far back for AWD to be practical.

However, its still up to speculation whether the subaru version will get a snail, while the toyota is NA only.

So much for AWD standard on all models.

Re: News and Rumors: New SVX after all?

Do you think the World Rally Championship rule of no turbos starting 2011 will impact what Subaru offers as an engine? They've put a lot of stake in the series even though they pulled out in 2009.
Edit: A rear wheel drive H6. Manufacturers use racing as a strong marketing tool.

Yeah but they make 6.1 digit odometers these days, it may have 1,002,792 actual miles

That's only been in North America, they sell plenty of non-AWD models overseas
