i say it be best to shop round an buy an new one. on my old hi lux it had an few chips and cracks in it. got told it be cheaper to replace the whole windscreen. a few places here told me if i was to replace windscreen in svx it would cost me 2000 to do. but i go to the guy who did my old hi lux and he was able to do it for me about 400 dollars

Same with Wyoming. I went through 2 in my Discovery last year due to rocks that were thrown up from other vehicles. Sometimes insurance companies will replace them because of wind damage causing pitting of the glass. They look at it as a safety concern because driving with the sun shining in can make it almost impossible to see.
