company selling 350HP EG33's

http://www.crossflow.com/products/fi...ts/CF6-33.html

I don't know if this is old news or not. I like the different intake manifold they use. The media gallery tab has some cool pics in it too.

Ouch. 13.5 gph at cruising speed? I'll never complain about my fuel economy again!

What a rape.....

On the other hand seems cool that they use older EG33 blocks to build this airplane engines...

"Torque at Propeller

Man. Image a 350hp/760ft/lbs tq rating?! That would negate the heavy weight of the SVX on the straights!

There was one on Ebay earlier this month complete with prop for $5000. Such a deal.

I'm not sure I'd want to deal with the lift kit just to keep the prop from hitting the road, though.

these engines could probably handle a turbo and nitrous for 49k. i wonder what their ecu and sccesories would be like for our engines though. good find.

Someone should talk to them, maybe see if they have any input for those of us without wings.

I may be wrong, but I think the torque rating is a little misleading. If you take the 760 rating and divide that by the 2.34:1 prop reduction (transmission?) you get a more realistic sounding 325 ft/lbs.

Isn't cruising speed for an aircraft the size that these would go into like 200MPH? I thought it was 150-300 in there somewhere. In that case they have some a good job on fuel consumption considering the fuel being used aswell. Now it that was "cruis'n" speed that would hurt. LOL

Or for those of us with wings....

13.5 GPH at cruise, figure cruise to be 200 MPH, roughly 15 MPG. I've seen an LS1 powered kit plane, 400 HP. It gets better mileage.
