Ummmm...I don't think the 2.2 pistons from an N/A motor can stand up to large amounts of boost, low compression or not. Too old, and too weak to begin with. Just go for an engine built from ECUTune. 8.5:1 compression from the pistons LAN's had forged (I think).

I heard that not only you could turbocharge on 2.2ltr pistons but you can add nitrous on top of it. Can't remember who did it though but they ran like that for years without issues. Don't see why 8-12psi of boost would be huge problem as long as temps are kepts at bay.
