Mother's Power Plastic
Like everyone else, I'm REALLY annoyed by dulled up polycarbonate light lenses. I've had friends with Mercedes use 1000 grit sandpaper on them, and all kinds of other stuff. I recently got a press release about Mother's Power Plastic, which can be used with their PowerBall applicator in an electric drill, or by hand. I first tried it on the rear window of the Capri, and just using it by hand, I got really good results. Then the SVX came into my life, and the lights really needed it. Here are a couple of photos. The left hand lenses are done, the right hand ones are as I got the car. The stuff works.

Looks pretty good dude. I have my own methods for clearing headlights, but if I ever come across the stuff Ill have to give it a try.

Acetone + some elbow grease? That or rubbing compound. I think both work better than anything else I've found, including this from what I can judge of the pictures.

Looks a good job Paul.
I'll try my local Mother's supplier for some of that. Joe

Paul, for clarity please?
Did you use the PowerBall to do the headlamps, or by hand? Glenn

Like what? I have zero problems with them now. I had condensation buildup but two hours in the sun with the bulbs unplugged fixed it for good..

I think they look quite good Earl.
Glad to hear unplugging the bulbs let the moisture out Brian. Joe

Hand rubbing works
Glenn, I did it by hand. I have a powerball, but thought I'd try by hand first, and was blown away by how clear they came out. Dragging out the drill and chucking the powerball up in it seemed like too much hassle, and after the hand rub worked, the drill stays in the drawer.

Thanks Paul. Been looking for an excuse to pick up a PowerBall. Guess this ain't it, although I can see where it might be the ticket. Mine still clear up nicely with PlastiX cleaner. Maybe when I run out.....
Glenn
