Of course, another transmission issue
What's up guys. ONE LAST PROBLEM with my little Subie, and then all is good. When cruising, for no reason, the tranny will shift between 3rd and 4th gear for no reason. The charecteristics from what I know would be that of a TPS sensor, but all the other cars I had were manual, so the shifting thing wasn't an issue with them. Please tell me it's the TPS. Also, is it ancient enough to be able to clean or do I have to replace it (in which case, who has one handy?) Thanks a lot dudes, you've all helped me restore this thing back to glory in such a short time.

Dirty TPS usually causes hunting.

Ahh, so you can clean it? Awesome, I'll give that a shot this weekend. Oh, I got leather reconditioner too. Anyone know how long I should let it sit before I can drive it?
