Canadain SVX and what they're worth.
I'm in canada (edmonton, alberta) and I'm looking to trade my car for two cars and one of them is a svx. I need to know:
1) How much is a SVX worth in canada now days. (trader going for like 6k-9k) 2) Anyone looking for one in canada? 3) What kind of problems should I look for (tranny?) |

The tranny will be your biggest concern. Fortunately there are a few non-SVX trannies that will swap in and even improve the driving experience.
Things to watch out for: - tranny should shift firm but not harsh between all gears - there should be no hesitation when shifting - there should be no slipping while in gear

David has you covered on the transmission info. I'd just like to add that 6-9k sounds right for an SVX in Canada, maybe even on the LOW end. That's exactly why I bought mine from the US, and so did my Dad. Keep in mind that some 92s have production dates of xx/91 and are now exempt from the riv.ca import requirements because they are over 15 years old.
