AutoZone has some nice substitutes, comparable to OEM. They are only a buck or 2.

I replaced mine with carriage bolts and wing nuts. It makes it easy to remove and replace.

First of all they aren't "bolts". They are little plastic clippy things that resemble the ones holding your trim to your back seat. Flip it down and take a look. Mine are both gone and I don't even worry about it. It just sits there. Very easy to remove with nothing holding it down.

The clips are part number 24236AA001 and retail for $4.15 each from your subaru dealer. It is a general cross-line part, so it should be a normal stock item for your dealer.

how about two for $1.49
Here's a link to an old post listing the part number for a decent replacement you can get from Autozone or Advance. They come two per pack for $1.49. The diameter of the head is just a bit smaller than stock, but they do a great job holding down the engine cover just like the stock ones, just for a better price. When you add in the shipping cost to get two ones on line, the cost for each stock clip climbs to around $6 - $7 each.
