Its an AT. I don't know if you can tell from this photo, but here is one. I thought some of the 98s were direct swaps. I'm still trying to get the #s off of it from him.

George's # is 503 504 0356.

Is there an external spin on filter, (that looks just like an engine oil filter) on the left side of the transmission, just behind the bell housing that installs from the top?
As in screws down onto the threaded mount.
If it has one, then it is a late 1998, (or later) and is not compatable with our tcu's.

Hey thanks for all the help. I kind of think it does look like it has the filter behind the pitching stopper in the photo(when enlarged). I know the hoses off the top of the case definately look different than the 90 and 95 I have sitting here.

What a difference! I swapped AT to MT Legacy pedal assemblies in 15 minutes. I think I spent about 15 hours on the pedals when I converted my SVX. Gotta love that cable clutch.

Yeah, but I did it four or five times in those 15 hours.

Should be back on the road today.

Thanks. Back on the road. Now I can start putting on all the WRX stuff I bought. I've got wheels/tires, suspension and brakes so far. If I can find a decent price on an local SVX parts car, this Legacy will have an EG33 in it this summer.
