The depreciation was astronomical, especially when the problems with the transmissions surfaced. I bought the 94 in 95 with less than 10k on the clock. I picked it up for $9k even. It had been sitting on the car lot for 2 months. The manager practically shoved it down my throat. (It was a trade-in for some fancy new GMC Pickup... rich kid spending dad's money.) I had no idea the car was $25,720 just a year earlier.
Our cars still haven't recovered, but I do believe they have just about bottomed out.
