Tech question for the 5-speed guy's

Ok here's another question. STARTER's......

1) Refresher: I'm installing a 92 Legacy AWD 5-speed tranny into a 92 LS-L.

2) Question: Can I use the SVX starter, or am I stuck with the tiny little Legacy Starter? The SVX starter is herkeyer and I would rather use it.

you need to use the legacy starter. It works just for me and it gets used a lot

That's right...since the starter mounts to the tranny and cranks on the flywheel as opposed to the torque converter you are left with the tiny Legacy starter.

What's to be afraid of??? Nothing to mod or rig and it works just fine. Trust me. My 5MT starts just as easily as the 4EAT in my old SVX. We have an expression, my friends and I, that we woud direct to you right about now but being as this is a family site I'm not able to use it.

I didnt get the starter with the tranny. Maybe the one I have from the FWD Legacy 5-speed will work?
