humming noise from front end

No, it's not the engine. I occasionally get a humming noise from the front end of the car. It gets louder as I go faster, but not loud enough to be annoying (yet). Diff, maybe, or a front wheel bearing?

- tires
- stereo interference
- radiator fans (if it comes & goes)

the diff would be a high pitched whine. bearings would be more of a growl. check the ground on your stereo, if it is aftermarket, sometimes this will give a noise that revs w/ the enigne.

Yea i have an amp in my trunk. The previous owner messed uo the wiring and i get the whine when i accelerate. I was told getting a new radio put in would solve the problem. Its a high pitched whine that gets louder and more high pitched the faster you give it gas. Most annoying thing in the world....this is why i always have my music loud.
