Checks in the mail.

Yeah, that guy that hit me back in early spring, I'm finally getting compensation.
It's a little over 3k I hear, but now there is this dilemma.

Use it to fix the collision damage
Use it to get those sweet rims and summer tires
Use it to get a bunch of other crap
or
Put a phat down on my student loans.

By the time it get's here I'll have probly ab out 5k ti fix it, but I just don't know what to do.

I want it to look perfect , but winter has arrived and people are getting into accidents already.
It's only a matter of time before the snow hits, and my chances of the X being demolished are going to skyrocket despite my snow-speeding expertise.

So...

Take down those loans.. The faster they're gone, the faster you'll have more 'disposable' cash to do with as ye please.

This is true.

I checked out a body place (a pretty high falutin' one by the looks of it), and they work with insurance, and will take their inspection into consideration, and if they find more damage than what I was compensated, they'll retrieve more cash to fix it.

If I spend the dough, I'm outta luck in this instance.

There's alot more variables and things at stake here than what is apparent.

Save it. Wait til some other dumb bastard hits your car. Collect on that, and THEN get it fixed up.

don't pay down the loans, UNLESS the interest rate is like at 8%. if they're at 2% or 3% the use of the money is free and the monthly payment is probably low. take the 3 grand and throw a BIG svx party and invite all of us. then you'll have people all over the country who will like let you stay free with them when you want to vacation and the like for about 20 years.

Fix the damage!

Reason:
If something else happens to the car before it is repaired it will be written off and then you will be SVXless.
