Re: Lamborghini?

Technically, they do look more like a Lotus as they were designed by the same design house in Italy. However, some Ferrari's kinda have the same shape as our cars, but the Lambo is nothing close!

Lamborlotusvx?

To the best of my knowledge Giugiaro/Ital designed the '72 Esprit which is a far cry from today's Lotus or the SVX. I have no idea if he had any part of the Lotus-Evolution. That aside, I'd rather drive the Lotus than my SVX. That is until the Lotus broke, then I would push it into a ditch and report it stolen. Then I'd buy an Earl-Fleet of SVXii.

-Nate

EDIT: 'Evolution' in the Darwinian sense.

BTW, he loved/hated the Bricklin...when something went wrong, which was fairly regular (and fairly typical of a low production - 2875 total - non-mainstream OEM), getting it fixed was much more entertaining than anything we suffer through.
One has to admit that the Bricklin is an exceptional looking car!

I'm with you on that one... Those cars look beautiful!

I can't even begin to imagine the attention you would have gotten driving around in a car like that back in the mid '70's!

Lwin,
As you probably know, there is a fairly active Bricklin Club, and the cars are available at pretty reasonable dollars. There is also a fellow in Bedford, VA that completely rebuilds them and has many, many parts for them. Seems he was an engineer on the Bricklin in Canada where they were built - Tanner is his name. BTW, I seriously thought about buying the attached "white" Bricklin. Pretty slick, huh? And it was a frame-off restoration with only about 13,000 miles on it. The cost - $16,000. It was a '74 with the AMC 390 CID engine and four speed.

I am aware of the club. The owner of the mustang restorations has 3 of them. 2 for parts and one that he made a full restoration on. that's one beautiful ride. He redid the front lights on fiberglass and such so that they are lower. Those cars are like SVXes they grow on you.
