Unhappy Daily driver down

Got up early this morning to go to the cabin this weekend. Got on the road and my faithful Cherokee would'nt shift out of second gear. Its not slipping at all just stuck in limp mode for no apparent reason and with the snow thats supposed to hit tomorrow morning i don't think i'll be able to diagnose it. damn damn damn

it could be that the fluid was cold if it was real cold outside. I'd check the fluid, then go from there. I really can't think of what other reason of why it would be doing that all of a sudden, without urther warning.

no dice bud. That was the first thing that was checked the tranny had plenty of time to reach operating temperature. I even second guessed myself and drove it around for another 10 minutes just to be sure it was warmed. Plus low fluid would'nt cause it to go into limp mode. Its an electronic problem. But thanx for the idea
