Help Asap! Please! Waterpump Failed!
Well, its about to. I took my car in for a check up before I debark to Florida next week for the honeymoon. They said hte exhaust leak noise was a bad bearing in the water pump, and they said it'll be around $600 with labor to replace it.
Okay, here's my question, as I need to get back to them before 5!! WHAT ELSE SHOULD THEY DO IN THERE??! I'm thinking timing belt...but cam seals? Main crankshaft seal? I don't want to have to do this again anytime soon. What else do you guys usually do while replacing a water pump? I'm going to use the search button now and see if I can find some more info. THANKS!!!!!!!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK! - Rob |

Rob, that's pretty much it. Cam, crank seals, T-Belt. Check the idler pulley, just in case and the rubber damper. If the tensioner is the least bit questionable, have it replaced also. Good luck and Happy Honeymoonin' (Mine's still goin' on after 27 years )
