Could you send me some pics as well. I have replaced the fuel filter before but am not sure where the regulator is. Email is paul@highpointchamber.org

Thanks so much!

My bet is on the main relay. It's the square brown relay under the dash, driver's side. Very common for those to be intermittant or bad. Dealer only I believe.

Question

Wouldn't the main realy not allow the starter to spin?? I tried un hooking the vacuum hose, its like its glued on, as was the fuel filter's hoses, I had to CUT them off and replace them. So I never got it off, the battery is dead now from me tring to start it soo much, im getting pissed. The vacuum's hoses look diffucult to replace. I called the dealer that I had look over the car, they said well If it was working ok for a few days then it not our fault. Their labor rate is $98/hr, is this high, or about right? I have AAA so towing isn't a big deal, but that just seems high. I know a mechanic at a local shop in town that would cut me a deal but Ive been told to only service the SVX at a subaru dealer. What do you think?

Unhappy I just got too fed up...

I towed it to the dealer this morning, its $49 to find out whats wrong with it, $98/hr to fix it, lets hope its not too involving.

Question

At first the dealer said it was 2 bad crank sensors, $850, they called an hour later and said that it was the aftermarket alarm interfering with the computer, $200 to remove, I know that it didn/t take them 2hrs to do, but I was just overjoyed to have it back. Ive got another quection, ive put 270 miles on the car so far, Ive filled up !3! Times!!! Is there anything wrong with that?? I only have to put in between 15-18 bucks and its 1.47/gal here in St. Louis

PS anyone wanting to sell the stock CD player for the SVX LET ME KNOW!! I would really like to get one.

Ouch...that's about 8mpg!!

how old are the O2 sensors? Seems like that's what's been giving most people poor mileage in their SVX's
