Car Shows

Jeni & I took the Mighty Ninety-Four for a ride to Duvall today. The Occasion: the Duvall "Woodstack" (sic) Show N' Shine car show. Nice, small show, about three or four dozen cars, mostly customs and rods but also some classics, a couple kit cars, one DeTomaso Pantera, a Triumph TR3... but there was also a stock '68 Ford Galaxie and a stock '99 Jeep Wrangler (huh? I HE can show, so can WE!). I would say that all were drivers, no show or Concours quality cars. And a few SVX's properly washed & waxed, with the tires doped, would NOT have been out of place. Like the name says, it's a show n' shine, not a judged event or a 100-point Concours; a real laid back, casual deal (although unlike the drive-in, registration was required).

There's a few events like this left this year but keep the idea in mind for NEXT YEAR! An SVX presence at a few of these things may help to promote involvement on the Northwest Forum and help find SVX owners who have not yet found their way to the Forum.
