I'm sure there was quite some consideration into which gen Brat they used. The 2nd gen would have added the "uniqueness" of the T-top roof. (also, were back seats on both gens or only 2nd?) 2nd gen also would have spaced out their historical examples a bit more since they already had 2 60's/70's models not counting the Brat and then they jump to the SVX completely ignoring the very popular 80's GL series of which the 2nd gen Brat could fill in for. It probably was decide by them having such a pristine and cool looking 1st gen Brat in their archives.
