Trunk is stuck closed

i can not open my trunk anymore i tried to use the key it does not work should it be the same as the ignition

yes your ignition key should work....maybe the "cancel/open" switch got stuck...try pushing down on the trunk more, then use the key again....turn the key to the right as if you were locking it....it should release....

If you get it open spray the hinge with silicon spray or something...also I think the lock should be set to "cancel"

Is your ignition key grey? If so, you have the Valet Key, and it will NOT open the trunk or the glove box.

key does not even turn and the safety switch is off well it is set to open by the little latch thing

OK, does your ignition key unlock your doors? I suppose it possible the ignition system has been replaced, and you have a different key...

Do you have any other/extra keys?

Did that key EVER open your trunk, or at least since you have owned it? And, if you can't get into your trunk, how do you know how the switch is set?? A common happening is a finger flipping the switch while you are in the process of closing the trunk. When this happens you are normally not aware of it.

Can you get into the trunk through the back seat or is that switch also in the lock position?

no that is how i seen the switch i crawled into the trunk and no the key never worked how would i tell if the ingnition has been changed
