Hey benebob... would you be willing to go through the trouble of removing all of the covers and shipping them to me? I would be up for that. Maybe even shipping some of the parts whole. Let me know via PM. Thanks -Dennis

Ditto, shipping wouldnt be bad if you pulled the covers off. Id go ahead and get passenger side seat foams too...Make that drivers seat as new as um..glue

The way I see it, it more than likely still wouldnt be bad if you left the front seat bottoms still together, along with all the headrests. The seat backs would more than likely be a little too much, but Im not sure. The back seat would deff have to come apart, as that is quite bulky. How hard is it to put covers on? Would I have to take it to a pro to do it?

The front seat bottom cushions are relatively light and small, but it's going to be a lot bigger box to ship than if you just did the coverings. But definitely worth it if your foam cushions are worn out and the cloth covered ones are better. Otherwise, it would probably just take an additional 10 minutes to remove the cushions from the cloth coverings. There isn't a huge time-saver benefit in keeping them attached. Ditto all of this for the headrests.

Putting the covers on isn't extremely hard, just time consuming and a bit tricky now and then. I believe I was the first person on the network to ever attempt this 7 or 8 years ago and there was one part I got stumped on for quite a while until I thought of zip ties. I passed that knowledge on and I think a couple members have done it since with good results. One even wrote a How-To document you can use. Or you can come up to my place and I'll help you do it.

You've still got to find a cloth donor though!

I'm more than happy to switch seats, i've been trying to clean them and getting a pretty good result, they aren't quite clean all the way.. looks like someone spilled coffee on the passenger seat. Also there is what looks like a cigarette hole burn on the back seat. Not very big though.. Let me know.

Pictures

Here are the pics of the seats for you. The last two are to show the new parts that Ive put in (No more woodgrain anywhere, and most of the suede has been changed out.) Click the pics to get the larger versions

The back seat. You can see the mark I told you about in the middle at the bottom. Theres also a scratch on the psss. side headrest, and a small mark on the seat bottom in the middle. It also appears to be a burn, but its not going through.

Backs of the drivers and passengers seats. You can see the nicks in them, though they arent horrible.

Passenger seat back, and seat. Ive got someone to replace the bottom cushion, as this one is messed up. Ill help you get that once we trade (Ill pay half of it, it will be about $60 total)

Drivers seat back, and seat. Notice that there arent any rips, and the wear is not bad for a 92. The bottom has a couple scratches.

And here are the parts that I just installed. Thanks pearlm30!!

Remember also that your seats are out of a '92 with the automatic seat belts.

If Davestone's car has manual seat belts, things will get alittle tricky. But his is a '94 so you've got a chance he has auto belts.

Mine has manual belts...

Granted they are a little different, but not enough to make things tricky.

David...

Just thought I would let you know... I have to make multiple trips down to Portland this week... on the 20th, 22nd, and again on the 23'rd. If you could do the trade one of those days, it would make things a lot easier, as I will be comming from Seattle. Just an idea... as I am wanting to get them switched over. Let me know if any of those days works out for you! Thanks -Dennis

I cant for the life of me figure out how to post pictures so here are some attachments
so One is the drivers, the dirty one is the passengers (its not as bad as it came out, I can clean it more if you want me too), then 2 of the back seats, the cigarette looking hole is in the middle of picture 802. Let me know if you what you think, if you still want to switch.
