Short SVX video I made for our banquet (NWSVX)

Here's the intro video I put together for our 5 Year Anniversary Banquet last Saturday. Crank up the volume and enjoy. Youtube kinda degrades the quality though.

Yeah the music might seem a little out of place viewed like this. Keep in mind, this was created as a introduction to our banquet the other night. So that music was cranked up LOUD to get everyone's attention, got them all hyped, and then led into our program with my much more boring speech.

Eventually it will also be used as the opening for a full DVD which will include other songs in all genres. This is a good cinematic "intro" music piece though, IMO.

Hey whadja you do? I can't see my link any more but if I go into edit mode I see some "youtube" tags around it. I'm thinking I can't see it because Youtube is blocked at my work and when I get home I'll realize you did something really cool.

So thanks.... I think.

Yeah, had to include a bit of the famous chase in there, since it was local and in fact a NWSVX's member's car. In the full DVD version I also include the interview they did with our members talking about what a great car it was/is.

Thanks for enhancing the link, and for taking the time to do a screenshot for me.

So that's what that little Youtube icon I noticed recently does...

Thank you Troy!!! (I've been hounding him in the NW forum to post this, hehe).

It does lose a little in "youtube" translation (mostly the music fit the projector and room atmosphere alot more). However, it is still the best SVX video I've ever seen on youtube...or anywhere for that matter. And that is just the intro!

Thanks again Troy for investing so much time and effort into projects like this (not to mention your at every event...usually as the cordinator, have a family, and juggle a job...you're the best!).

Now, to forward this to my friends and post that vid on my myspace

I liked the music (Carmina Berrana) (sp) I believe. Much better than the typical rock head banger music that often accompany this type of video... IMHO.. Great job. You tied in the different scenes very nicely...

Rules, read them. Again.

Seriously. Noone (at least in your last thread) said that the SVX was meant for touring only. That's just what you took from their comments.

This is trolling, go back, read the rules.

Steve - if it makes you feel any better, I posted up some stills from the footage of the black SVX in the snow/mud back when I filmed it in '04. He pretty much DID get those comments so yes, it does sound familiar.

The driver (Gargoyle) to this day goes by the mantra "I drive my cars hard, but I take good care of them." He never skimps on maintenance, and all these years later that car has yet to have a mechanical problem (the body condition is another issue, he has the worst luck with accidents and always in every day mundane situations ).

So everyone has their opinion, but you gotta let them.

Personally I think it's fun to see what the SVX can do and what it's limits are. But that doesn't mean that it's the best thing for the car or that I would do it to my own.

Also, it's always good to explore those limits in a safe and legal manner, preferably the track. But sometimes an abandoned snow/mud parking lot has to do.

Great video

Orff didn't know about the SVX when he wrote Carmina Burana, but he would have loved this use of his music. Great video, but I'm sure sorry about U-Tube's low video quality. Maybe you could post a higher resolution version that we could download?

Paul

Thanks!

I think the music is O Fortuna movement from Carmina Burana, I have to double check. I wanted something dramatic to set the mood, and I thought the tone also went good with the shots I had.
