ah, but you asked for the purpose... Installing and tightening teh boot clamp on a 1994 Subaru SVX

(also removing said clamp, or for use as a nifty paperweight. not intended for internal use. if accidently ingested, call Poison Control Hotline. if you experience any nauseau, diarhea, or vomiting, discontinue use and see a doctor immediately.)

yep that's it. It is for reclamping the boot band. It's for the new style plastic boots. Too bad I didn't see this till just now

Umm...If axle boot clamperizer isnt it, Ill guess...I dont know. But holy hell you can get ALOT of leverage with that sucker. Looks like you use 2 1/2 inch ratchets on that thing too. OOH, mabey it uses tourque wrenches...

It's a new 14 page service manual supplement that includes parts diagrams for the 1994 SVX FWD axle, torque specs and instructions for changing the boots. I bought it a couple years back from someone who advertised it as a service manual suppliment, not mentioning the FWD axle part. At the time I had a '94 AWD.

Perhaps just send it to Wikedjuggalo, I have a 92' AWD and this supplement sounds pretty useless to me, especially as Im moving soon and trying to rid myself of all the car crap/parts/manuals I've accumulated over the years

I forgot to PM you Gene but I got the manual about a week or so ago. Thanks for it, I don't know if I'll be replacing any boot clamps anythime soon though.
