It does lose a little in "youtube" translation (mostly the music fit the projector and room atmosphere alot more). However, it is still the best SVX video I've ever seen on youtube...or anywhere for that matter. And that is just the intro!

Thanks again Troy for investing so much time and effort into projects like this (not to mention your at every event...usually as the cordinator, have a family, and juggle a job...you're the best!).

Now, to forward this to my friends and post that vid on my myspace
Thanks Erik! The positive reinforcement will keep me motivated to finish the whole thing so you NW club guys can have a nice memento of the 1st 5 years.

I just noticed if you watch the video through the window in the actual post, it is slightly smaller than on YouTube itself (also there is no logo in the corner watching it on YT). Still pretty cool that you can view it from within the post though!

Nice video dude..loved some of the shots...you guys over there have some NICE scenery
Cruisin, I think the main diffrence between them / us doing dougnuts in the snow and you is..they arent getting chased by mall security and crashing into things, and wondering why the tranny temp light is on, ect. ect....but lets not re-re-re open this can o worms...its getting stale pretty fast

And you will notice that I referenced your last thread, not any previous threads.

Seriously. Noone (at least in your last thread) said that the SVX was meant for touring only. That's just what you took from their comments.

This is trolling, go back, read the rules.

EXCELLENT VIDEO! Good transitions, wonderful scenery. Had I been doing it, I'd have let the sound of the cars bleed through a bit, in places.

I liked the music, but I'm a bit worried about the connotations of one of it's other uses.... in the movie "The Omen" as the overture for literally the anti-christ.

So, what ARE ya tryin ta say? HMMM???

Very cool video. Great music!

I would be interested in reading the technical aspects of the filming you did. How for example? Very nice.

As everyone has already stated... very nice video =) Watched it several times now... Music is a bit "Amityvilleish" but I like it and it works well heh.

Never seems to be enough videos of the SVX, great addition!

I considered letting some car sounds bleed through but ultimately left it just music driven for this "intro". On the later pieces where the tone changes there will definitely be bleed through, if not 100% exhaust driven soundtrack.

I was defnitely going for an ominous factor, but not THAT far! Although a couple of the early shots actually had CGI smoke/fog in them but I took it out because my computer was having trouble with the rendering.

That's top secret!

No, really, it was all pretty much just doing whatever to get the shot. A lot of things I wouldn't recommend if you are concerned for the safety of your camera, car, or yourself.

And of course what you see here is taken from over 8 hours of footage taken over 5 years' time, a lot of which is very boring and unusable.

I could do a shot by shot run down for you if you want. PM me your email address if you'd like so we don't clog up the thread with technical stuff.

Just now noticed the quality settings on the right corner bottom that allows you to change the resolution to high. Looks a ton better that way!
