Saw this the other day. Best one I've ever seen 'alive'!!

I followed this car through the center of town last week. Got 2 'rear-end' pics. SUPER nice XT-6!! Here's one of them. Never saw this car before.

Hope the owner has a secret stash of XT6-only "Cybrid" power steering fluid for the electric PS pump/system.

This convertible conversion was at Toronto Subaru Club Hypermeet held at Subaru Head Office in August. That's the owner and his wife's BRZ. He works for or is recently retired from Subaru Canada.
A two year project of a junker rebuilt from the frame up.

He didn't enter or stay long enough to win a trophy but my SVX did. Yeah, I know, no big deal but it is a nice heavy etched glass disc in a silk-lined presentation case. :-)

The XT6 WAS available with a manual, a 5-Speed with locking center diff....

That one appears to be a FWD Auto

And this fluid isnt really needed now. If you flush the system, you can use standard PS fluid. Its the brushes that fail the most, but those are also easy to find.
I've owned 2 AT XT6's and 1 5spd.
Plus a few XT's, one of them was a turbo.

Yes; my ex and I test-drive one. It was up on an elevated platform on the dealership's lot, and they went to considerable trouble to get it down for us (even though we were "just looking"). Ultimately my wife let the clutch out too quickly and stalled it, and thus we discovered that it had been on static display so long, the battery had discharged. Click, click.

xt6's are great cars. I miss having one. mine was a POS though but that was because of the previous owner.

Re: Saw this the other day. Best one I've ever seen 'alive'!!

Looks a lot like my old XT 6, same colour only mine was a manual. It was a great car to drive, had a very planted feeling.

The SVX is definitely better but the XT 6 was great for me at the time.

Re: Saw this the other day. Best one I've ever seen 'alive'!!

I had my 85 parked at the farm when randy had one of his under-aged drinking partys. He plowed into the front end of a barely salvageable car, thus rendering it to crusher fodder.

I evicted him and his 'ilk' and crushed the car in disgust.
