Liquid Silver opinions????

Ok due to a recent parking lot fender bender(not my fault and at faults insurance paying for damage ), the left rear corner of my car needs some body work and fresh paint. Since the oem paint is 20yrs old and three colors, the new paint is certainly not going to match, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a respray earlier than expected. But I'm torn from choosing to keep it two tone or paint all one color. I like the whole 2 tone throw back look, but all silver looks really good as well. I just wanted to get some opinions from members and what they would do.

If you make it all silver, keep the roof black at least. All the fully white/silver cars that I've seen look weird because of the roof not being black.

That said, I prefer the 2-tone look. It's part of what makes these cars special.

The black roof adds to the " All glass bubble look." when I had the pearl I had many people ask if it got hot inside because of the all glass roof <LOL>. I thought of painting my roof on the Laguna blue black . I bailed because it is very expensive due to the sun roof needs to be removed and stripped and all the rubber around the roof ( over the windshield and rear window etc.) has to be lifted to paint under it .

I like the all silver look. Here is one the YT sold a while back.
I also think they look great all silver with the gold STI wheels, there is one like that in the recent Japanese SVX meet photos, but I can't find the link.

Something I saw a long time ago was the liquid silver with medium-dark gunmetal metallic gray replacing the original black areas (top, trunk, garnishes, spoiler)

Still retained the classic two-tone look, but not so intense. Quite nicely done.

Pardon the bad Photoshop, but you get the idea.

I personally like the black roof/trunk. It's one of the best parts of owning a white or silver svx. I say keep it black.

Agreed. The only other option for silver would be the tritone JDM color combo.

Keep the top and the decklid black (or dark gray) Ditto on the "all glass" appearance given by the black top- pretty clever of Subaru to do that.

I wish I'd kept my liquid silver '92 (sigh...). At least my Legacy GT wagon is the same or similar color.
