i also just checked and a 95 (OBDI) wiring for the ecu to tcm are different there is only 3 wires.

Otherwise we're just speculating about solutions to problems that may not even happen. Actually, in your application, you would be better off getting a standalone ECU because you will be able to tune it. I'm pretty sure that nobody has cracked the OBD2 SVX ECU and it's unlikely that anybody will bother for such a small market. So if you use with the stock ECU then you will be limited to 230hp.

There are flashed ECM's for wrx's that just keep it in ready for the IM monitors for the OBDII system. just run a seperate harness for the ECU if you really want to keep it stock. Talk to Boxer6 about his EG33 transplant he has running.
Phil, someone had posted the code a while back when they swapped a 96... I forget off the top of my head but it was a comm. error code for the TCU Tom |
