Re: Tulip Time Ii

Any more thoughts on dates?

I should be able to make it with enough notice and as long as it's not Mother's Day weekend.

I wrote a bunch of other stuff, but I've deleted it. Still sticking by my idea to sit by the sidelines and watch like everyone else. Unless I come up with an idea for something.

Re: Tulip Time Ii

Due to the tulips being late, Tulip Time II is rescheduled to May 2nd. Only saw one field in bloom yesterday.

Re: Tulip Time Ii

Hi! Mrs. Fuddman here, doing secretarial duties. Ha! Ha! We are planning to stop for lunch around 1 pm at the Farmhouse Restaurant. Don't have reservations since not many said 'for sure' they could make it. It is on highway 20 west of Burlington at LaConner Whitney Road.

Re: Tulip Time Ii

How was the drive? This is probably the last weekend for the tulips.

Re: Tulip Time Ii

Hi! Mrs. Fuddman checking in. We had a nice drive, most of the time. Ally seemed to enjoy herself and Aaron rode with her. Larry and I had peace and quiet. Yes, we had 2 SVXes this year. Whoopee!!! Considering there was always Spring Classic drives and Fall Colors Tours, when we first got involved in the SVX group, and they are now falling by the wayside. It's too bad as Spring drives are soooo pretty. We stopped at Roozengarde to enjoy their tulip display as Ally especially wanted to see them. Some fields down the road had their blooms lopped off since the Sunday before when we saw lots of colors in bloom in a field. Too bad as they were gorgeous. We had some drizzle then pouring rain on the south end of Whidbey Island. Had a nice lunch about 1:30 at the Farmhouse Restaurant then drove on and stopped at Deception Pass's North Beach and the West Beach there. Was sunny and warm, at the West Beach. It was a long day so hope that Ally has recuperated.

Re: Tulip Time Ii

Great run through the farmlands. My car and I enjoyed the black tulips the best. I hope my passenger has forgiven me for making him carry a ton of rocks off the beach for my garden. Thanks for the tour!
