No he did not just use the windows as the "flop". He used the looks, price, and units sold as the "flop"

That's a fair point.

There were some cars registered and sold in 96/97 over in England that still had the 94 colour scheme.

Dealers would not be too fond of them over this way. They take root on the forecourt.
