JDM 3-Tone

Anybody have pics of it? I've seen a couple but they were blurry or just plain crappy(the pictures not the car). I was thinking of doing this color when I get a repaint.

The disabled lockers are your fridn grasshopper. jow (svxisentalistististalist) has a jdm 3 tone that he's posted pictures of before...Might wanna check his first. Earl has one too, check his siggy, old locker, and gallery. I think there's even one or two in the picture thread I made (and keep reviving)

This was TonyShale's car in one of the rare moments when the wheels weren't on backwards.
More photos in Phil Hill's locker under 2003 meet.

While we were at the meet in 2003, these three Japanese guys came over and admitted, rather sheepishly, that they worked for Aisan who made the SVX gearbox. I still say we should have lynched them.

I love the looks on the others' faces. Like, "Should I beat these guys, or walk away?"

But are they the ones who helped design the ACT-4 system or the VTD-4WD system? 'Cause there's a huge difference between the two.

You're right. And the most important difference is: The ACT4 needs rebuilding every 50k miles wheras the VTD needs rebuilding every 80k kilometers.

ah 3 tone.. I've been thinking about painting the lower half of my silver one to make it look like JDM 3-tone. Does anybody know what that gunmetal paint code is? Is it similar to the silver/gunmetal 2tone of today's Subaru Outback like this?

Some of the blurry ones could have been of my car. I have not had it long enough to do a spruce up and photo shoot!

Have a look at my Gallery locker here.

I also have some photos on my computer I will publish that are of jdm cars in Japan, they are better. I'll put a few in my new locker.

We do have the paint codes [all except the black roof, which we have never to my knowledge been able to get a Subaru code on that colour]

The bodywork is Liquid Silver. I forget what the grey is called, I'll get back to you on it.

Joe

Another shot

A different shot of Tony Shale's car from 2002

Devon

Sure enough, as Phil says, the wheels do not know whether they are coming or going!
