Seat Covers

Looking to replace the two front seat covers. Yes I know Dayle sells them but they are way to expensive for this 20 year old full-time college student. I'm only looking for the front two. This site http://www.autoaccessoriesrusfl.com/ordering.htm has some nice looking ones but I was wondering if anyone tried their universal seat covers (neoprene or simulated leather). Also if anyone knows of seat covers that will fit the SVX seats (like ones at kragen, autozone, please try and describe the product so I can perhaps try to buy a set myself). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh and yes I did do a search and read nearly all the threads. Thats how I got that link, but no threads told of any seat covers that fit.

If you have the tools buy yourself a pair of WRX seats and put them in. I got a pair on NASIOC for 225.- brand new out of an 03 WRX. Much better lateral support and they look great in my dark grey interior.

They are close. The only issue is that the height is about 2 inches higher on the passneger side and about 1 3/4 higher on the driver side. I'm 6'1'' and I already felt like I sat high in the SVX so I am cutting the feet on the seat rails and rewelding them after making them however much shorter I desire. As far as actual alignment goes they are close but not close . The front two bolts are almost exact but the back two (particularly the console side) need a little of cutting and welding. My passenger seat is pretty much done and the driver side I am doing this friday. I will post some pics when it is all said and done.

best off taking the seat out... Make a jig out of the original seats rails, the fit up the new ones out of the car and then it will be a bolt in... Thats how I would do it as to not burn up the carpet... Good luck and I want to see it at Reading

BTW I am 6'5" and I hit my head on the ceiling esp. when I have a helmet on, I feel your pain

I would love to go to Reading ( I have been to busy with classes to read the thread and get any info though). What I am doing for the alignement is i traced the original footprint out of a piece of ply wood and am working from that. It is pretty easy ( so far ).

If you are 6'5'' then this might help you actually. The WRX driver seat also has a height adjustment on it. So in addition to the 1 3/4'' I am taking off the feet I will be able to still fine tune the height even further with the adjuster.

Woops.... I just looked at my old seats and saw that. Never knew that was there. Well, I guess you learn something new every day.

mmm still no info on any seat covers that will fit the SVX guys? (just the driver + passenger) I hate sporting the tears (theyre deep enough not to be repaired by the leather repair kit they sell). my price range is up to 150.
