How to make Exhaust Gasket Donuts
Well after several days of trying to find match for the Exhaust Donut Gaskets for the front/inlet side of my 95's catalytic converters I took a shot at making some.
I posted a “how to” with pictures in my Locker The donuts are basically a metal foil with alternating heat resistant insulation I used aluminum foil and PERMATEX® ULTRACOPPER®. I have to give credit for using the ULTRACOPPER® RTV to MOVE_RIGHT. He mentioned it in this THREAD It was easier than I thought. I have only been driving with them in for two days. I am driving to Florida this weekend, we shall see. . .

I need all of those gaskets
I need all of those items for exhaust. the band and bearing are gone somewhere which I noticed later. I need the gaskets tooo at the cat converter since recently I removed it for tranny swap and the old ones are worn out and for now i have fixed them with someother gaskets that Mark is having in his garage. I cant afford tht much price on subaruparts.com
92 SVX AWD Exhaust system #8 - Cat Converter Gaskets - #44022AA200 - $6.11ea. x 2 = $12.22 - ($20 at dealer ) #18 - Band Complete 933 - #44025PA000 - $16.14 #25 - seal bearing 933 - #44022PA000 - $50.13 -($65 at dealer ) I need all of these at sometiem when i get my car to my place. but meanwhile I want to know whether there is any easy way to make them or get them i mean especially #18 and #25 as used ones. -Pavan. I am not sure if a foil and RTV gasket would be strong enough for #25. Even with the hangers there is some stress at that joint.
It would be easy enough to make and try it.
