Cost of repainting the spoiler

So my spoiler has a chip that got bigger and bigger. Now is the size of like two fingers put together. I bought some barcelona red touch up paint and its not the right match for my car. My car was repainted a few yrs ago and the red I have now is a little darker than the barcelona. So basically i screwed it up and now my spoiler has 2 different shades of red on it. Once i started i couldnt stop . So how much am i looking at to get the thing repainted? One shop quoted me 75 bucks just to do the front grill so im expecting about 150 for the spoiler? Man am i bummed out.

Who told ya to take the car to a paint shop to get it matched??

I figure about $150-$200 to get it repainted, but I'm not sure with the price gouging they do over there.

You could always ship it over here and I'd paint it.

Thats kinda out of the question n00b....considering that you dont know the color of my car unless ya see it lol......im thinking 150 too. Theres a shop thats been doing our body work for a long time....im taking my mom with my on tuesday morning to that shop to see if they might cut us a deal or something.

And actually, I could match the paint to what's already on your spoiler, as long as you didn't botch it up too bad with your new paint.

I swear.... Every SVX I have ever seen and looked at the spoiler, it has been chipped!!! Mine included... Though I bought it with the Chips in it....

Since school is over im gonna go around this week to see how much it would cost to get painted. Meanwhile i am considering actually sending it to CO....anyone know the dimensions...weight..and length and width of the spoiler off hand? Im trying to calculate shipping costs.

when I bought my car it didn't have a spoiler. The dealer sold me a new primered one at cost $400.00 ( so he said ) it cost me $150.00 to paint it black and install it. Very heavy... I know I can just about lift the trunk lid, speaking of that is there something you can do to make it easier to lift?

Yeah 150 is about the price i was expecting. I'll let you all know what happens this week when I take it into the body shop for some estimates.
