I, like all men I believe, appreciate a little "quickyness", especially in the "quirky" SVX.

The Q factor

Quinn quietly quiped about the quirkyness of a quicky in his quality SVX until Quint, having queried about Quinn's quest, qualified him as a quack. Don

Once they've tweaked the B4, do you think they'll change the name to the "Aftera." (Don't groan, people will think you're constipated )

Well slap my fender and call me a split-window....

Lwin,
Gee.....ya gotta be careful what you ask for around here don't you? Howdja do that?

Well, it's a start. Tweek the styling a bit. (Remember you purists out there, this is assuming that a car like this will be a close to our babies as we can buy in the future.) It needs to distance itself from the regular Legacy more than that, I think....Try removing the creases...accent lines...from the side and give it a more rounded appearance, and see how that looks. Sounds like an aftershave...

<Once they've tweaked the B4, do you think they'll change the name to the "Aftera." >

Aftera ReL SVX

REL stands for reworked Legacy, but is pronounced "real"... Don

That is an absolute abomination. I would rather drive a Pacer if THAT is what I'd have to settle for. GAG!

Maybe as close as we will ever get...

<That is an absolute abomination. I would rather drive a Pacer if THAT is what I'd have to settle for. GAG!>

It is not our beloved machine....true. But I wouldn't call it an abomination either. If the car had similar capabilites, certain IMPROVEMENTS, and its only "defect" was a different chassis and styling, it would still be a very good CAR. As good as the original?...of course not. I doubt we will ever see the likes of our Italdesigned beauties again. But I wouldn't kick something similar to this out of my garage either...

You wouldn't be related to the Speedvision cop, would you?(Pacer) Don

Then, buy a WRX and change the windows. That's what you've got here. I've said it once, and I'll say it a million times, the SVX is a unique and incredible "animal." It would be almost impossible to "sequel" it. Especially in the guise of another rally car in Sunday-go-to-meetin' clothes. I hate to be repetitive, and, at the same time, also, too, be redundant, but, as I've also always said: I'm an SVX fan, not a Subaru Fan. If they make the SVX look more like a Subaru, I won't be a second generation owner.

<Then, buy a WRX and change the windows>

I'd rather have the Blitzen, and change the windows..

I understand where you are coming from Randy, but remember...if there was no Subaru, there would not have been an SVX. If the people behind it have not been fired or retired, then hope springs eternal.....but if it has awd and a 6 or a turbo-4, seat 4, can handle some cargo, and cruises fast and smooth....I'll probably be interested. If they would throw in some Italian styling...I'd probably be a big fan. Right now I just pray SuperRu can last for a few more years. Its either that or Audi I guess... Don

My greatest downfall is that I buy cars for their "looks." That's why I bought the SVX. If they hadn't built the SVX, I never would've owned a Subaru. The AWD, Comfort and Luxury Amenities, Handling, Comfort in cruising . . . THOSE were all BONUSES!!!
