Weird ABS problem
So my 94 LS has had the ABS light on and was throwing a code 3:
"Broken/shorted solenoid valve circuit in hydraulic unit RR wheel" Tonight I replaced the ABS modulator with a known (or assumed... it never threw a code and it WAS a running car) good unit from my parts car, started the car... and the ABS light and code 3 is still there. Disconnected the battery for a while, reconnected, started the car, the ABS light flickered then stayed on and the same code. I haven't driven the car since swapping the modulators so I don't understand how it could be throwing ANY code, let alone one relating to the previous modulator. My understanding is that the car has to be driven at least 19 mph for a minute or more before the system will run a self- diagnostic. Any clues or suggestions? |

Re: Weird ABS problem
Mine had the same code, I started going through the FSM troubleshooting procedure, The clicks of the solenoid are so quiet there is NO way you would hear them from the test conn location but I finally heard them by powering the pins on the connector and heard all 4 click. I reconnected the module, but did not have time to take the next step, remove the pass seat and check the control unit. The light went out about 2 days later, I suspect a bad wire or ground but since it is "fixed" for now have not looked further.
