Clear coat, really shiny.. That might look nicer. But I don't like the stock wheels as much. They're too fat and hard to keep shiny and clean but look very nice when polished and all aluminum shiny..

Not a big fan of the stock wheels but might consider a replacement. If so might be just as well off to get the Gold ones.

Picked up second hand STi rims from a local WRX website, cleaned them up, sealed them, waxed them and just had them fitted with new rubber. I like the way the 17" fill the gaurds a little more than the 16".
