On alot of cars Ive seen the plastic part of the console
broken where the screws go thru.
I went to the hardware store, got 2 little longer screws
and 2 large flat washers.
I replaced the self tapping screws that were in there with
the longer ones, and put a washer under each one
to cover the plastic area of the console better and help
secure it like it was suppose to be and it should help alot.
Also make sure the screws or bolts on the sides of the rear
are still in there and tightened
I did the same thing for my door panels. The plastic has a tendency to crack. I put rubber washers under the screw heads and it seems to hold the panelling on more firmly.

I get the normal cracking of the windshield too. But everything else rattles as well. My doorpanels......and especially my passenger seat. It jiggles when i go over potholes. I really wanna get that one fixed but dunno how. The bolts are hard to get too.

rumble

When I acquired my SVX some kid put a stereo from hell in it. With the sub woof in trunk at about 400 watts the car makes a variety of rattles. I hope when the rear brgs. go there loud enough to hear over the amp.
