That's 32-bit. I forgot to mention the upgrade editions are 32-bit only. They wouldn't upgrade properly otherwise. The true full versions will give you a choice between 32 and 64 bit.

Microsoft has really beafed up their security. I, myself, have been running XP (well..quad booted with mandriva linux, vista and OSX) for a long while without using any virus protection or firewall what so ever. IE7, in particular, is a major improvement, although somewhat intrusive but nothing that's not necessary for the computer illiterate. One thing that really annoys me about vista ist the stupid user account control. But it can be disabled.

I will say though, of all the years I have used Macs they have never given me grief. Windows gives me grief all the time but again Macs just are not supported enough game wise.
None of the Viruses can survive up there in the cold of Alaska ... THAT's why you haven't had one yet

Yeah, I hear ya on the game front man... I've only got Halo and Call of Duty 2... Other than that just some random card games and what not... But I look at it another way... I get distracted very easily from my work so by having less games, I get more work done

But I do wish I had more games though
